If you get in trouble in the surf while there are lifesavers on the beach just relax and raise your hand and they will come to your aid immediately!

Understanding the ocean is very important – the more you know about how waves, wind and tides affect conditions in the water, the better able you are to keep yourself safe, or even rescue others, from danger. Recognizing danger signs and awareness of surf conditions is essential to beach safety.

  •    The Toowoon Bay surf Club have a bunch of volunteers who give up there Sunday mornings to help educate kids between the ages of 6 to 13 the techniques needed to survive in our beautiful waters and to be future live savers.
  • Those 14 and over, move into the junior section of the club, where they obtain qualifications to commence patrolling.
  •   K.I.D.S were able to support this project by purchasing 10 Nipper boards that will be used for years to come.

These Kids will be the future to lifesaving in Australia.
